Terms and Conditions of Agreement
The Switchboard is primarily a co-working space. Members will continue to have use of the space while your event is in process. Some spaces may not be available for your desired date due to the nature of our members’ needs. Any additional decor must be approved by the Director. No nails can be placed in the walls. Care must be taken to maintain a respectful atmosphere for both the Switchboard and its tenants. The Switchboard reserves the right to ask any guest who acts in an unruly manner or refuses to follow the Switchboard’s policies to leave the premises.
The Switchboard reserves the right to protect its brand by declining events that the Switchboard staff deems inconsistent with our brand.
Please remove all personal items, bag all trash and take it to the dumpster in the Hoyt Street parking lot at the conclusion of your event. All spaces must be returned to their original condition.
SECURITY: The Switchboard does not provide security during events. Client must secure and pay for an off-duty Indianapolis police officer or a private security firm if necessary. The Switchboard is not liable for any loss or damage of any items or materials brought to its premises by the event host or its guests. The Client is responsible to monitor all unlocked doors during the event. No exterior doors may be propped open.
DAMAGES: In the event of damage to the Switchboard, its equipment, or furnishings beyond ordinary use, the Client agrees to pay the cost of repairs, restoration, or replacement. To the extent that such damage is covered by Switchboard’s insurance, Switchboard waives subrogation of its insurers against the Client’s.
INDEMNIFICATION: The Client agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Switchboard from all claims arising from the Client’s use of the premises. It is understood and agreed that this is a contract for rental of space only and the Client is solely responsible for the conduct or lack of care of itself, its employees, agents, contractors, or invitees.
CANCELLATION: In the event that the Switchboard fails to comply with the terms of this Agreement due to any event or act of God, the Switchboard’s liability to Client shall be limited solely to a refund of all money paid by Client to the Switchboard, and Client’s sole remedy shall be receiving a refund of all money paid by Client to the Switchboard. If Client cancels 2 weeks before the event, Client will be reimbursed all money paid.
FEES:
Events must conclude by 11:00 p.m. Hosts and guests must vacate the building and spaces must be clean and returned to their original condition by 12 a.m. Events that do not conclude at 11:00 p.m. will incur a charge of $50 per half hour.
All event date changes will be treated as cancellations.
FACILITIES: All spaces and equipment must be returned in the condition they were received.
